Call for abstracts

Contributions for oral and poster communications on the following topics are welcome: Human-forest interactions, Human-wildlife interactions, Invasive species, Physical barriers, Climate change, and disturbance regimes.

Please submit abstracts during the registration, using the same form.

Forms of presentations:

Please remember to indicate your preference for an oral presentation or a poster. The same topic can only be presented either as a poster or as an oral presentation.

Oral presentations

Oral presentations will consist of a 12-minute talk (with a PowerPoint or a PDF presentation) that will be followed by a 3-minute discussion.

Posters should not exceed 84 cm (width) x 118.9 cm (height) (A0) and need to be in portrait format. They will be fixed on poster boards. All poster authors will have the opportunity to present their posters during poster sessions.

As the number of oral presentations is limited, if unsuccessful you may be offered a poster presentation as an alternative.

The conference will be conducted in English; thus, all contributions have to be in English.

Guidelines for abstract preparation:

Abstracts should be prepared in English and include the following sections;

  • Aim of the study
  • Methods
  • Results/Findings
  • Conclusions/Implications.

The word limit in the body of the abstract is 300.

Please note that limits of space and time may make it impossible to accommodate all requests for oral presentations, in which case we may ask you to present your work as a poster.

Acceptance of submitted contributions

All abstracts sent by 30.04.2024 will be reviewed by the conference scientific committee that has final authority for acceptance and scheduling. Authors will receive notification, confirming whether their contribution has been accepted for a poster or oral presentation by 26.05.2024.
